Preparation for Fall 2015 Spawning Surveys
With the start of the October rains Michael and I are gearing up for our fall and winter salmon surveys. We got out the waders and clip boards, and have reached out to a few neighbors to confirm that we can continue surveys this year. The response has been overwhelmingly positive. We may even add new reaches this year.
So far the water levels are still very low. The main stem is finally seeing a steady flow that may be enough for salmonids to come upstream, if they can make it passed the barriers at Stark Street and Cochran Road. The South Fork is still running at low levels, which is unsurprising as it is spring fed.
