UPDATE: Mystery Fish Is
After corresponding with fellow members of the partnership, it has been determined that this is most likely a pumpkin seed, a type of sunfish. Earlier we thought it was a small mouth bass, but as that is highly unlikely as they've never been reported as being seen in the stream before. The dorsal fins look like one merged fin, rather than appearing as two fins (as would be seen in a small mouth bass). It is my understanding that sunfish have been seen in pools in the South Fork of Beaver Creek. They are likely eating insects. I will keep an eye out for more fish in my surveys this weekend.
